Although I am not a chocolateholick, I sometimes make small recipes based of chocolate not for to be selfish and to please my family.
I have to say to you something, as most of you know, I have a boy and a girl.
My son is like me, he doen't eat much chocolate.
Whereas the small mouse (soon 3 years), if it was her choice, she would have chocolate for all her meals in the morning and evening, she NEVER says no when it is about chocolate.
You know, the first word she pronounced, it is "Chocolate" even before saying "Mom"
The second word, was "Chocolate Cookies".
Don't be surprised if you will find on my blog " Chicken with chocolate sauce " or " Potatoes stuffed with chocolate ", who knows??? Lol /

Bien que je ne sois pas trop goumande en ce qui concerne le chocolat, je prépare de temps à autre
des petites recettesà base de chocolat pour ne pas etre goiste et pour faire plaisir à ma petite famille.
Je dois vous dire quelque chose, comme vous savez (presque tous), j'ai un garçon et une fille .
Mon fils est comme moi, il n'est pas trop chocolat tandis que la petite souris (bientot 3 ans), si c'était son choix, elle aurait souhaité n'avoir que du chocolat dans tout ces repas matin et soir, elle ne dis JAMAIS nom quand il s'agit du chocolat.
Vous savez, le premier mot qu'elle a apprisà prononcer, c'est le mot "Chocolat" meme avant de dire "Maman" le deuxième mot, c'était "Chocolate Cookies".
Ne vousétonnez pas si prochainement vous trouverez sur mon blog "Poulet au chocolat" ou encore "Pommes de terre farcies au chocolat", qui sait ??? lol

Apricot Torte / Tarte d'Abricot

I prepared this cake to celebrate with you my 200th published recipe, I thank you warmly for your comments and your encouragements because of these I arrived at my 200th recipe, for the future I promise you more simple and delicious recipes.

This is a cake made up of three sponge cakes, actually it's a single dough divided into three equivalent molds, that gave 3 sponge cakes, cut in two, so six layers of cake.
I stuffed them with two different stuffings:
* jam mixed with canned fruits in this case apricot and pineapple.
*cream with chocolate and instant coffee.

j'ai préparé ce gâteau pour fêter avec vous ma 200ème recette publiée, je vous remercie chaleureusement car graçe à vos commentaires et vos encouragements je suis arrivée à ma 200ème recettes, je vous promets plus de recettes simples et délicieuses.

C'est un gâteau à base de trois génoise, à vrai dire une seule pâte divisée en trois moules équivalents, qui a donné 3 génoises, coupées en deux, donc six couches de gâteau.
Je les ai farcies avec deux farces:
*la confiture mélangée avec des fruits de pots comme l'abricot ou l'ananas.
*la crème à base du chocolat et du café soluble.

The current recipe is an easy one that has a nice flavor created by the lemon mixed with mustard. I grilled the chicken then I cooked it in the same sauce where it was marinaded for a few hours.
To serve with steamed rice and green salad./

La recette d'aujourd'hui est facile avec une saveur trés agrable à cause du citron mélangé avec de la moutarde. J'ai grillé le poulet puis je l'ai cuit dans lamême sauceilétait mariné pour quelques heures.
A servir avec du riz cuità la vapeur et une salade verte.

Pineapple upside-down cake

Before presenting you the recipe for today, I would like to share with you my concerns during the last few days.
I noticed that blogging takes ALL my time, I do nothing else as running to prepare recipes, run to make them (it takes me 3 days of work to post a single recipe), run to look for corresponding music , run to work on the picture and video editing, run to post the recipe, run to visit your blogs and leave you comments, run to do my house work, run to answer my subscribers of my other channels ( you tube for example I have approximately 1400 subscribers) , run, run...

I don't have time to catch my breath, I have a migraine which kills me because of my allergy, I do not sleep well, I can't sit for a long time in the PC, the light hurts my eyes...
In addition to that, my top lap crashed, I just bought it recently (if you remember), with the crash I lost 8 recipes that I had not posted yet, the filming, taking pictures and all the other work which I did, simply disappeared.
Imagine my disappointment.

I thank you for the bottom of my heart for your visits, your comments and your support, I decided to take care of myself first (but in spite of my migraine, I still sit down in front of the PC and I say myself :
" No Sabah, you have to post, because there are people out there who are waiting "), but in fact I have to feel comfortable with myself first ,to be able to continue,and I am sure that you would agree with me.

Do not worry, I am not taking a break yet because I am going to Morocco soon Inchaallah (I will stay there for 3 months).

As for Aftouch, even though I have over 450 votes, I do not want to participate any more, I thank all the people who voted daily for me, Djouza, Soulef, Sourour, Amber, Lilouche, Leila, Red, Mark... the list is long.
Please do not vote any more for me, but I shall continue to vote for the other participants, and if there is somebody who needs my vote, send me a message and I will gladly vote for you.

I am sorry if this post was long, I just wanted to share with you how I feel at present, I am really under a lot of stress.
Please continue to write me, I admit that it is the only thing which comforts me and encourages me to continue, because I'll tell a secret, sometimes, I want to delete everything because of the stress but I fight against this with all my might.

Let us move on to the recipe.
Finally the weather is starting to warm up. The warm weather usually means we wear lighter clothes and eat lighter foods. I know you're thinking that cake is not exactly one of the lighter foods,and you're right.
But just because you might be eating lighter does not mean that you will be giving up sweets entirely, so when you do splurge, a classic recipe with the refreshing taste of pineapple is just the thing for those warmer days.












Avant de vous présenter la recette d'aujoud'hui, je tiens à partager avec vous mes soucis de ces derniers jours.
J'ai remarqué que blogging prend TOUT mon temps, je ne fais que courir pour préparer des recettes, courir pour les travailler (ce qui me prend trois jours de travail acharné pour poster une seule recette), courir pour chercher la musique qui correspond, courir pour travailler les photos, courir pour poster la recette, courir pour visiter vos blogs et vous laisser des commentaires, courir pour faire le travail de ma maison, courir pour répondre à mes bonnés de mes autres channels comme you tube par exemple (environ 1400 abonnés)...courir...courir...

Je n'arrive pasà prendre mon souffle, j'ai une migraine qui me tue à cause de mon allergie, je ne dors pas bien, je n'arrive plus à m'asseoir longtemps au pc, la lumière me fait mal ...
En plus deça, il ya mon lap top qui est foutu, je viens de l'acheter (si vous vous rappelez), j'ai perdu avec, 8 recettes que je n'ai pas encore posté, imaginez; filmer, prendre les photos et tout... tout le travail que j'ai fait a tout simplement disparu. Imaginez ma deception.

Je vous remercie du fond de mon coeur pour vos visites, vos commentaires et votre soutien, j'avoue que j'ai pris la decision de prendre soin de moi d'abord (car malgré ma migraine, je m'assoie au pc et je me dis:
"non sabah, tu dois poster, car il ya des gens qui attendent"), mais en fait et je suis sure que vousêtesd'accord avec moi, je doisêtrebien dans ma peau pour pouvoir continuer, n'est ce pas??

Ne vous en faites pas, je ne prends pas de pause car bientot j'irrai au Maroc inchaallah (je reste làbas 3 mois; donc je prendrai une pause), je préfère continuer mais doucement, je posterai des recettes, je visiterai vos blogs, je répondrai à vos e-mails mais DOUCEMENT.
Je dois prendre aussi un peu de temps pour transmettre tout ce que j'ai sur mon blog anglaisà blogger pour le coller sur mon blog à overblog, comme vous l'avez surement remarqué, j'ai démenagé de blogger pour aller à overblog. Je n'ai meme pas eu le temps de tout rectifier.

Pour Aftouch, je laisse tomber, meme si je suis je croisà 453 votes, je ne veux plus participer, je remercie tout les gens qui ont voté pour moi, djouza, soulef, sourour, ambre, lilouche, leila, red, mark... la liste est longue.
Sil vous plait ne votez plus pour moi, mais moi je continueraià voter pour vous, et s'il ya quelqu'un qui a besoin de mon vote, qu'il me laisse un petit mot, je voterai avec plaisir.

Je mexcuse si j'étais longue, je voulais juste partager avec vous ce que je sens actuellement, je suis vraiment trop stressée.
Continuezà mécrire, j'avoue que c'est la seule chose qui me réconforte et m'encourage à continuer, car je vous dit un secret, il ya des fois, je sens que le stress me pousse à éffacer tout, chose que je lutte contre avec toutes mes forces.

Semolina bread



This bread is the most popular bread in Morocco, I added extra flavors like caraway seeds, but you can leave it plain if you like.
It used to be that not everyone had their own oven, everyone went to a local public oven to bake the bread. They were located in every neighborhood.
Nowadays however, most people have their own oven and these public ovens are becoming very rare.

Ce pain que je vous présente aujourd'hui est le pain le plus populaire au Maroc, j'ai ajouté des saveurs supplémentaires comme des graines de carvi, mais vous pouvez vous en passer si vous aimez.

Auparavant au Maroc, les gens emmenaient leur pain pour le faire cuir dans des fours publics locaux, ilsétaient placés dans chaque voisinage.
De nos jours, la plupart des gens ont leur propre four, ces fours publics deviennent alheureusement, de plus en plus rares.















Kefta Tagine / Tajine Kefta



Tagine is a large basic part of the Moroccan food culture, you can find almost everything possible in a tagine and they are made many different ways.
This here is one of the simplest types of tagines, it's a farmer style tagine if you will, made with ground beef, tomatoes, spices and eggs.
The best way to eat a tagine is with homemade bread. I have prepared a Moroccan semolina bread to accompany my tagine, that will be my next recipe.

















Strawberry Cake



As I promised to you, here is the birthday cake which I prepared for my mother in law.
A good sponge cake that I divided into two, stuffed with a mixture of cream of cheese, powdered sugar and strawberries. I covered it with the rest of the mixture of cream, the flavor is like a yogurt, I decorated it with the whipped cream and strawberries.

The entire cake was eaten in one day, I regretted not making two.


















Strawberries Festival

We bought a lot of strawberries at the festival, because they were so cheap and sweet.
Fortunately for my mother in law, her birthday was on the same weekend, so I made her a birthday cake out of strawberries.
Here is the picture which I will publish in my next video.



Last month, me and my family went to The Florida strawberry festival.
Florida is a large grower of strawberries. Once a year, this strawberry festival takes place in a town next to mine.


Although the cold weather spell in Florida killed a lot of strawberries, there were still a lot of strawberries to go around.









As you can see, this strawberry festival has been around for a long time.




Besides strawberries, there were also rides to ride and games to play.




There were plants for sale as well.




For example this Pitcher plant.






Of course the cookbooks using strawberries grabbed my attention.





There were also arts and crafts exhibits like these houses made from plastic and yarn.




My favorite part of the arts and crafts display was the cake competition, I think if no one had been watching, I would have cut them open, to see what they look like inside.





















Among the band that plays there, was the south american group that had its own dancer with this great costume.



Of course being a strawberry festival, anything that you could make with strawberries, or had a strawberry theme, was for sale.




I know what you are thinking, these strawberry pies look delicious.
Actually they are candles, that look like pies. They look so real that I had to ask the vendor because I didn't believe it myself.






I was not only hungry from the strawberry festival, but I was also thirsty. Fortunately, strawberries were not the only plants for sale, this great peppermint plant was for sale as well,
Before leaving, I bought these plants, so I didn't have to carry them around.
As soon as we got home, I made some fresh Moroccan peppermint tea, when I closed my eyes for a minute, I was in Morocco.





Oat cookies


Hello my friends,
Today I present you a very simple cookie recipe.
I am used to drinking my coffee in the afternoon with cookies which I prepare myself.
Because I didn't have any more, I began to prepare the common ingredients; flour, butter, and sugar. My eyes fell on a package of rolled oats which I had only used once for a bread recipe, I got the idea to roll the biscuits in the oats.
The result was great, these oat flake cookies are very soft; with a good flavor.

I must tell you a secret, sometimes I feel the urge to prepare something without knowing what it will turn out to be .When I open the cupboards of my kitchen which are stuffed with food, (I will makes photos one day), tons of ideas come across my head.

Ker3en with White Beans


I know it seems rather a unusual dish, but it's something I know from home. The ingredients are not as hard to find as you think, I found the hooves in a local Arabic store.
If you don't like white beans, you can substitute them with chickpeas and raisins like I did with my recipe ofSheep Legs.














Tart with coconut flakes



Here is a recipe for a dessert that is fast to make, which is pleasantly flavored with coconut.
After baking this cake, a crust forms on the surface, which makes this cake great tasting without covering the taste of the condensed milk, which has a slight flavor present.














Knots with Vanilla


Today I would like to share with you an Italian recipe of deep-fried pastry knots, traditionally flavored with vanilla sugar, they are served hot, dusted with confectioner's sugar.














Chocolate Pretzel


I want to share with you a chocolate pretzel recipe. For those of you who asked for a recipe of salty pretzels, here is a picture of some that I have made, but please be a little patient, I will post it in the future.
I found this recipe in one of my American pastry books. At the beginning I was amazed because I have only known pretzels since I lived in Germany, which are salted, my son use to eat them all the time.
So I was curious to try these sweet version. The result was not bad at all, even my son, said that now all that he wants to eat are the sweet ones.



















Barley Couscous????? ??????



Hello everybody, today I present to you a recipe from my mother, Couscous made from Barley.
When I was small, I hated this kind of couscous and also the
Whole wheat Couscous, not only me, but my brother and my younger sister (allah yerhemha),
as well. My mother, the poor woman, in order to please us, she use to prepare both.
At meal time, she served the dish called Lgess3a, half with normal couscous and
the other half, couscous of barley (or whole wheat couscous ).
Those who liked the normal couscous sat on the right, and me, my younger sister and
my brother, put ourselves to the left.
It was very funny because Lgess3 had two different colors, we all enjoyed eating
from a single dish, as most of the Moroccan do, which is for me, a symbol of the family affection (which I miss for the moment).
